webfact
Daily News Thai Caption: Hawking Ya Ba Daily News reported the arrest of a man in Chiang Mai after a tip from an informant that drugs were being peddled in the northern Thai city. Khajornkiat, 30, was arrested with 238,000 Ya Ba he had stashed at a cemetery building in Mae Rim. A Toyota pick-up was taken into evidence after an initial arrest in the parking lot of a well known downtown shopping mall. The suspect had been trying to sell the drugs on the cheap as a job lot to get out of debt. The media said he was willing to accept 3 million baht for the pills (meth mixed with caffeine) when the real street value when sold separately would be much higher. The media said 250 million baht but ASEAN NOW thinks they added a zero - 25 million would be more correct. The suspect said that he was supplied with the drugs by a man he met before his release from prison. Now he desperately needed 700,000 baht to repay him and was willing to go cheap. He blamed the economy for not being able to sell his stash. He faces charges for selling Class 1 drugs and a definite return to jail for an extremely long time. Investigations continue. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-08-02 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Even this is way off, you can buy yabba for 20 Baht each in a lot of places from what I've heard. There's a joke going around among Thai people at the moment, under the current administration the price of everything has gone up - except Yabba which is now cheaper than ever before. For that many he might even have been charging too much.
