Daily News Thai Caption: Preparing custody order

Daily News followed up on the violence ASEAN NOW reported yesterday between a school and college in Dusit district of Bangkok.

Four were hospitalized and two arrested after the incident on Rama V just 300 meters from the police station.

Pictures showed young people with long sword-like weapons and bloodstains on the sidewalk.

Dusit police chief Pol Col Arkhom Chumsap revealed that parents and teachers of the two men arrested were helping police with their inquiries.

He was tight lipped about the extent of the injuries suffered by those in hospital saying police were waiting on reports.

He also refused to name the school and college involved in the violence.

Daily News sources suggested that those arrested were aged 15 and 20 and that the younger person was about to be ordered held in custody by the youth court.

How is this good for public safety?   Maybe I'll go there today with my son, and then a group of machete-welding youths run at us??  If I knew the name, I could be more cautious.

But not in LOS.

Years ago I would argue it's very, very safe here.  Now, not so much
