Da Nang accommodation and catering figures up by 385% in July compared to last year

According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, the revenue of accommodation and catering services in July 2022 reached an estimated VND2,407 billion, up 11.2% over the previous month and up 385.7% over the same period last year.

Of this, revenue from accommodation activities stood at VND970 billion, up 15.6% over the previous month, nearly 19.9 times higher than the same period, whilst catering service earned VND1,437 billion worth of revenue, up 8.4% over the previous month and 221.5% over the same period last year.

 

In the January-July period of 2022, revenue from accommodation and catering services was estimated at VND10,998 billion, up 40% over the same period in 2021. In detail, accommodation service revenue reached VND3,686 billion, up 106.0 %; food and beverage revenue reached VND7,312 billion, up 20.5% over the same period in 2021.

 

In July alone, the number of guests served by local accommodation facilities was estimated at 514,800, up 13.1% over the previous month and 15.3 times higher than the same period in 2021.

 

There were 57,500 international visitors, up 42.3% over the previous month, up 12.2 times over the same period.

 

Likewise, the number of domestic tourists was estimated at 457,300, an increase of 10.2% from the previous month and 15.7 times higher than that recorded in the same period in 2021.

 

As accumulated, in the 7-month period, the total number of visitors staying at accommodation establishments was estimated at 1.88 million, a hike of 83% over the same period, and 127,000 of them were international visitors up 44.3% and 1.76 million were domestic travellers, up 86.6%.
