Thai Airways avoiding Taiwanese airspace until Sunday amid high tensions

Siam Rath reported that Thai Airways were avoiding airspace over Taiwan from yesterday August 4th until Sunday 7th. 

 

There are high tensions in the area due to Chinese military exercises. 

 

The airline's PR section said the action followed an announcement from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand after the Chinese authorities isued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen).

 

The Thai action involves flights to and from South Korea and Japan.

 

The airline said they were monitoring the situation closely.

The media further reported that Thai operates four flights to Taipei per week from Bangkok on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and planned to have a daily service from September 1st.

This is about flight safety. I am pretty sure all airlines are doing the same, regardless of "pay masters" and favorite ideology.

No pilot wants his airliner to be the target of a missle.   For a poster to rant on about masters

etc, just shows the lack of brain power.  We can all hope that the China leader has his calm down 

drink and  tensions cease shortly.

Why would a Thai Airliner be a target of a Chinese missile? (which is what you are insinuating).

How about Japanese airliners too? Not exactly best friends with the Chinese. Right now this All Nippon Airways #ANA808 from Bangkok went right over Taiwan. Where's the story?

China is holding an exercise.... no commercial airliners would be targeted and destroyed... even by accident.

China is playing big brother by trying to control the area, and Thailand is playing along with the game.

The CCP is having a tantrum and throwing its toys out of the pram. An airlner might just get hit by a flying toy..... ask Malaysian Airlines.
