Cannot bear Leo, tasteless drink, but saw new one today at Big C -Leo Columbus. At only 27baht a small bottle they are marketing it on the counter. Pity only 5% but totally different from ordinary Leo rubbish, more like Krung Thep beer from Cambodia. Getting some more tomorrow, at least it tastes of something!

The cans are lined so you shouldn't get a metallic taste from them.

Leo, silver covered bottles

There's three, Columbus, Galaxy and Yellow Sub. I tried them a few weeks ago and one of them was o.k. but I can't remember which one now.

Although, all three may contain the exact same beer, and this just a collectors item

They use three different hops so there's a slight difference in flavour profile. The Yellow Sub was a bit fruitier as I recall.

I'm not above drinking out of a can if necessary but always have new beers in a glass to see the colour.

Talk to me when they add a zero to that.

I think my water has more than 5%, come on!!!

Those bottles should attract teenagers and children.  OMG.

Extremely popular after hurricanes in Florida, and often 'free' from the government.

...sorry, what is Bangkok beer from Cambodia?

sold in some 7/11 at 65 baht, small can, nice but expensive

For someone who claim to not like Leo beer at all, you seem to know so much about it.

American beers, Canadian beers, some beers like Heineken taste like some ingredients were forgotten in the making. Just feels like liquid to me. Luckily some micro breweries took over and offer a product similar to beer with a taste, like Chang, Leo and Singha. I remember Amstel as a good beer, and some German beers as well.

Glad you found something to your liking...

About 15 or so years ago a friend of mind got Weils disease. He always drunk from a beer bottle. Although they couldn't be 100% certain, the docs reckoned it must have come from Rats peeing on the beer boxes whilst in storage. I've never drunk straight from a bottle or can since

According to this Facebook post from several months ago:

"LEO Columbus hops are imported from USA, and have a strong bitterness and a slight citrus scent.

"LEO Yellow Sub hops are imported from Europe, with the scent of tropical fruits, oranges, apricots, and blackberries predominating.

"LEO Galaxy hops are imported from Australia and have the aroma of sour fruits, fresh and juicy"

My bottles go into a dishwasher where they are rinsed and hen hand dried before they go in the refrigerator.  Guess I need to buy an old refrigerator and turn it into a kegerator like I did in the US, but gave to my son when I moved here.  Wonder how much a keg runs, and then how long it would stay good for at temperature.
