Number of Air Visa Exemptions per year allowed, need to double check!

Recommended Posts

I've read online that 3 per 6 months is allowed, and also that air travel doesnt have visa exemption limitations.

I'm planning on coming back to Thailand having done a visa exemption just a month ago and was here for a few days. I'll be here again for a few days this week, but then want to do another next month.

So 3 visa exemptions in 3 months, with the first 2 just as visa runs from another country.

Is this going to be risky flying into Bangkok, as my final flight in will be to get my non-o visa when i arrive.

If arriving by air, and your total time in Thailand is less than about 180 days per year, you are unlikely to have a problem with visa exempt entry. There is no specific limit on visa exemptions when entering by air, but airport immigration will scrutinise your immigration history to determine if, in their view, you are abusing visa exempt entries to stay longer than is compatible with normal tourism.
