geovalin Posted August 26, 2022 Share Posted August 26, 2022 A Filipino national living in Cambodia was handed an initial 10-year sentence for ‘intentional aggravation’ which lead to the violent death of his sister and brother in law in September 2021. Yi Sok Vouch, Judge of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court and Sam Rithy Veasna, Representative of the Prosecution, announced the handing down of the sentence yesterday. The man – named as Yabes Fermin JR Suyat, 51 – was sentenced to 10 years for intentional aggravation. The crime took place on September 10, 2021 after a dispute between the perpetrator and the victims – his sister and brother-in-law – in an apartment shared by the victim and the assailant in Boeung Trabek, Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.
