PRIME MINISTER PRAYUT Chan-o-cha would be trying in vain to make his presence felt after he has been ordered by court to stop performing as head of government, commented a noted academic over the weekend.

Though Prayut has been ordered by the Constitutional Court to stop performing his prime-ministerial duties pending a court ruling on his eight-year rule maximumly provided by law, the embattled premier on Friday literally turned to the Ministry of Defence, the portfolio which he has concurrently assumed, to make his presence not only felt by generals, admirals and marshals but by others in government, according to Kasetsart University’s Political Science Association president Thanaporn Sriyakul.

Prayut rode in his own sedan and went to work at the Ministry of Defence headquarters across the street from the Grand Palace and posed for a photo session in which he signed some unknown papers at his desk.

Hopefully, he was delivering the "Happiness to the people" he promised when he stole the country 8 years ago, and was signing his resignation papers !

More likely signing off on a pay rise for himself having lost a few bonus payments he was getting as PM.

Probably putting those life-size cardboard cutouts on ebay as I write this. Then again maybe they are decorating his spare 'Ego room' !

The loss of face must be hard for him to bare!

Though Prayut has been ordered by the Constitutional Court to stop performing the clown says the show must go on ... and on ????

Still running the government from behind his cloak of a defense minister.  Once suspended that should have meant suspended from all government interactions as anything he does or signs of during the period of time can be appealed as he is the one who gave himself the positions he also holds.  What a farce.....

Never mind, his wife can console him by teaching him English, ready for his next life?

(She's highly qualified to teach English, she's been doing it for many years.)

And sadly don't be surprsed if he finds a way, unfortunately he has a lot of power to 'order' things to happen.

Are we sure he didn't hold his pen upside down?

The Constitutional Court Should have suspended him and ordered him to stop ALL duties.

That's going to be a big factor.

He wants to be the center of attention, especially with the upcoming APEC meeting.

Nice to see him suffering!

Maybe working on some new songs.

I think it's obvious that the pieman is not in full control and will be consulting with the miserable defense minister behind the scenes, even though his time has come.
