i am changing job from my current company which BOI sponsored for which I get a 2 year extension on my nonB visa , to a non BOI company. 
has anyone got experience if you can change / transfer your work permit without having to leave the country and re-apply for a nonB abroad ?

You would need to have your current work permit and extension of stay canceled when changing employers.

Then you could have a new work permit issued and a new extension issued. The new extension could be done on the same day the existing one is canceled.
