Demonstrators gathered in front of Central World department store bangkok yesterday to demand 3 leading generals Prayut, Prawit and the minister of interior stop using their power within the government.


The activists took turns giving speeches and waving banners to say “Stop the Power of the 3.

 

A woman has been arrested for allegedly transferring 15.7 million baht from a dead man's bank account into her own via a mobile banking app.

 
The 46, had been taking care of the banker who had been suffering from cancer. She is accused of stealing a mobile phone and helping herself to his money. 


She bought gold and hid 2.3 million baht cash in her home and her car. The woman was arrested on September 1st and faces charges of  theft and computer crimes.

 

A leading virologist at Chulalongkorn university says Covid-19 will soon become a common seasonal respiratory illness such as influenza. 


He added Covid is more likely to occur during the rainy season from June to September, and again during the cool season. 


A road safety programme has been launched to promote the use of bicycles as a  tribute to a doctor who was cycling and run over by a motorcycle at a zebra crossing in Bangkok early this year.


The project aims to heighten public awareness about the danger of accidents at pedestrian crossings.

The storm has been upgraded to a supertyphoon with wind speeds over 200 klms per hour.


The storm is likely to head north towards japan and Korea.
