British Man Critically Injured in Russian Roulette Incident After Drug & Gas Use in Pattaya
Not that I'm an expert in anything Russian, but I thought the traditional method was to spin the chamber and point the revolver sideways at your temple, or possibly stick the barrel in your mouth. Holding the revolver backwards pointing at the centre of one's forehead seems somewhat untraditional and somewhat contortive. Something odd about the story the roommate is advancing. -

Gaza Paramedics Shot ‘With Intent to Kill,’ Red Crescent Demands International Probe
Not just some media but plenty of the posters who lap it up. Hamas has a history of using ambulances for war Before the facts had even settled, western media outlets rendered their verdict: Israel was guilty. Guilty of deliberately targeting ambulances. Guilty of murdering humanitarian workers. Guilty because in the court of international opinion, Israel’s guilt is the default setting. For decades, Palestinian terrorist groups have systematically turned ambulances, hospitals, schools and mosques into instruments of war. This is not a rare abuse but an entrenched tactic: a strategic manipulation of international law designed to endanger civilians and maximise propaganda victories. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/hamas-has-a-history-of-using-ambulances-for-war/ -

Please don't tell me that you pronounce the 'T' in "often"... Or, do you?
Well, if you know so much about English... Then, do tell me.... What color is: a. A nut-brown bowl b. Nut-brown hair What color is this in proper English, anyway? We often hear about Nut-Brown this, or that. But, what, exactly is the color Nut-Brown, anyway, as applied to a bowl or a woman's hair....? We never say Nut-Brown in America. I guess you know. I think it must be the Irish who say this, most. -

Trump Administration Debuts Legal Blueprint for Disappearing Anyone It Wants
Well of course I am not an American - so unlikely to be persued. That said if I attempted to enter America ( I have no intention of so doing) then I am sure that I would be refused or detained. As for "pursue perceived dissidents living abroad", well it would only be a small relatively simple step. Some countries have a record of allowing America to apprehend and detain their "enemies" on their soil, all one has to do is to define and identify such enemies. -

Lack of Steel Reinforcement in Pillars Leads to Building Damage, Expert Warns
Any large construction site has inspectors that represent the client/owner, sometimes they are far and few between, lazy, or easy to circumvent I have been called on to X-ray the walls on several high rise condos and office towers in the US and Canada The objective was to count the number of rebar pieces in a given area, the construction plans will have a procedure for this. In all the buildings I examined NOT ONE had the required number of rebar in it. And this is in first world countries. Steel is expensive and it's going to be covered with concrete, who's to know?
