thai4u Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I have 3 pc connect together with D-link switch. the other pc's working just fine have internet but just sometimes(happand 3 times this week) have this messege : "there is an IP address conflict with another system on the network". but still can use internet. TODAY- I cant use the net already 2 hours BUT its only my pc that can use internet.(!) What do u think can be the problem? I checked and changed the cable its still the same, also I restarted the modem.NADA. same.. Crossy Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Check you other PCs are not using FIXED IP addresses, if you must use a fixed address (for P2P or something) make sure it is outside the range that the DHCP server in your router is using. Try turning off your other PCs one at a time until the problem goes away. Then check the configuration of the one that solves the trouble. BTW are you using wireless, is security enabled, could be 'someone else' has a fixed address. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The configuration are the automatic that windows give when install the windows..means detect automatic (right?...). Fixed IP ? I dont think so..its a tt&t 1024/512 speed. regullar line./private customer. Pls give some advice how to check things here because I stuck with my private pc without internet. At least you're running now Should have thought of that, sorry The cheapo router that my ISP provided was always locking up, until I put it on a timer that killed it at 3am every day, worked for three years until it finally smoked during a storm, new one is fine (and has new surge arrestor).
