The reason the Ranger is manufactured in Thailand is because there is a viable market for the vehicle. If Ford was going to sell the F250 it would need to maintain a parts inventory and dealers would need the training and service equipment. It just isn't viable on a small number of sales. It is why Ford did not sell several models or configurations of its vehicles in markets like Canada, despite its proximity to the Canadian market and the previous absence of tariffs. -

Surprised in life can be minimal by adequate insurance AND cash reserves. Agree about fraction of the cost for healthcare and long term care in Thailand. I would never pay the outrageous price for Long Term Insurance in America. Rather hire Two qualified nurses in Thailand. But one still needs cash reserves. I know, a foreign concept to many living on edge in Thailand. -
