TheLaughingMan Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Saw the old thread that started almost 20 years ago and hasnt been updated in over 10 years. Please dont move this to the medical forum, Im not asking for medical information. Im asking if anyone has recent experiences with Nursing homes in Thailand. Any good or bad experience? Thanks
lopburi3 Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Actually there have been some such threads in the medical section. Perhaps a google search of forum/subject might being some up if you are adverse to reading that section. But in general nursing homes are not part of the landscape here so expect few have had any real experience. Home care by family or hired help is much more common. In what area of the country do you require?
CharlieH Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Nursing homes is a "health" related concern. MOVED
Popular Post Sheryl Posted September 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 29, 2022 Nursing homes are not centrally regulated or organized here. There are lots of small facilities in various cities, not single listing of them, and quality is all over the map. There are some good ones, some OK ones, and there have been some horror stories around bad ones. e.g. https://thainewsroom.com/2022/01/19/raids-on-substandard-elderly-care-homes-show-some-were-chained/ It would help if you would indicate what province you are looking at. And whether for a farang or Thai patient. By far the best facility for westerners in Thailand IMO is https://mckean.or.th/dok-kaew-gardens/ in Chiang Mai 2 1
