traveling from dubai to bangkok and pcr test

Recommended Posts

I cant believe I need a PCR test to enter dubai and then travel to thailand.

Is anybody going the same route?

It is very tricky with PCR because it takes 24 hours to get it and it needs to be less than 48 hour till you took it...

i would never travel through dubai if I knew this

I am in the same boat.

Going UK to TH through Dubai on 20th Oct.

Got whole night layover was wondering if I can go out.

How many vaccine doses they accept?

Do you need it printed or app QR is fine?

Is there anything near airport and any point going out?

I land 7pm and flight out is 9am

Yes, you are free to leave the Airport - Check Visa status (mostly not needed but if travelling with a Thai they need a transit visa to enter Dubai).

Landing at 7pm - flight out at 9am:  It would be easy to get a hotel in Dubai, chill out by the pool in the evening, have beer and bite to eat, have a good nights sleep, get up and get to the airport for 7:30am and walk straight to your flight.

Uber in Dubai is reliable / Hotels near the airport are relatively inexpensive.

Something like Crowne Plaza at Festival City (10 mins from the Airport by Taxi - about 4500 baht per night) and nest to festival city shopping mall....

If you have a vaccine cert or PCR cert - print them off.

No one is checking them anymore anyway, but just incase they do you don’t want to have run out of battery on your phone etc...
