Thalang – Structures that have allegedly encroached on public areas worth 50 billion baht on the Lay Phang Beach in Cherng Talay, Thalang are finally demolished.

 

“Officials started the demolishing this morning (September 30th) on the Lay Phang Beach which is on 178 Rais of land.

It is the land that is supposedly worth the money. About 28 million baht per rai.

Wouldn't it be 280 mio thb per rai

The numbers they used makes no sense, maybe for direct beachfront land in phuket u get 2x mio thb per rai but that's about it

I thought that at first and ran it through the calculator a couple of times and get the same number as you.

 

I knocked the last 0 off and it came to a more believable figure.

 

My calculator is the standard Microsoft one and not the modified TAT model which I thought that they were using.

Is it only 4 demolished (Paul's, Tony's, Beach2 etc) and the 7 0r 8 further north are still there.  And all the bars

on the beach south of Saii hotel?
