Trip to Kalasin - Help me please

Featured Replies

Hopefully you have transportation, there aren't baht busses, grab, motorcycle taxis.

Definitely rent a car, lots of rain in the hills of Kalisan.  You may want to stay in Khon Kaen then drive out there.  Also a zoo outside of Khon Kaen.

Great road!  We've been there a few times and I never saw lodging.

Besides the Dinosaur museum and the 7// PTT gas station there not much else.  The museum is probably 2 hours at most.  Air-conditioning was almost non-existent because of no people (mid-Covid) we had to show vaccinated proof.  It's great for kids though.

At least there's something to do if you stay while in Khon Kaen.

The City of Sakon Nakhon is up the road through the mountains.  Pretty boring city also, I live there.

In Issan Udon Thani and Khon Kaen are nice places to stay then venture out for the day.

When you get back there's shopping, restaurants, and nightlife at least.
