Extension Of Stay

Featured Replies

I just read here in the forum Immigration will not ask any longer for bankbook but proof of income if i want to extend my stay here,is that really so?I am German and have a daughter with a Thai lady,I am 44yrs old ,I have also document from a Thai family court what says I am the father,we all live together in case Immigration wants to check that,I get montly pension from Germany over 40000Baht,I just bought a ticket to KL to optain a new 1yr non O visa, but if they wont ask any more for bankbook i would like to extend my stay, what other documents are required? Thanks for clarification.

What they do not want is 400k from bankbook method to extend for any new applicants - it is now 40k family income which can be both/either husband/wife. If you use this method they may ask to see bankbook but there is no requirement to have any set amount in it. Reports this week from Phuket is that they do require you produce such evidence of ability to support your stay here either with bank books or Thai credit card slips. But as said there is no requirement to have 400k in the account.
