F1 -   Max Verstappen broke the record with his and Red Bull's 14th win of the season in the Mexico City Grand Prix. Second was Mercedes Lewis Hamilton and third was Red Bull's Sergio Perez.

 

Football - Arsenal returned back to top of the EPL after an emphatic 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates and Marcus Rashford scored his 100th Manchester United goal as they beat West Ham 1-0 at Old Trafford. Glasgow Celtic restored their four-point advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership after cruising to a three-goal win at Livingston.

 

Toni Kroos was sent off for the first time in his career as unbeaten Real Madrid went top of La Liga in Spain thanks to a dramatic 1-1 draw with Girona at the Bernabeu. In Serie A in Italy third placed AC Milan lost 2-1 at Torino.

 

Cricket - South Africa moved to the top of Group 2 with a nervy five-wicket victory over India in the Men's T20 World Cup. India finished on 133-9, and the South Africans replied with 137-5.


Pakistan kept alive their slim hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals with a comfortable six-wicket win over the Netherlands and Bangladesh survived a remarkable finale to beat Zimbabwe by three runs in  Brisbane.

 

In the NFL - The Denver Broncos twice came from behind to earn a morale-boosting 21-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley.
