Would really appreciate information about dart bars in your area. All active darts bars will be added to our Dart Bars List on the Dart Thailand website. It’s a free site with the primary purpose of providing darts information to darts players. Internet searches show Harry’s Bar and Irish Clock in Udon Thani. Can anyone confirm if they as still active darts bars?

If you have a favorite darts bar please give us the information and we add it to our list. Additionally we have a monthly newsletter will all the news we can find about darts throughout Thailand. Our two regular features are “Darter of the Month’ some of Thailand’s most attractive darters and “Dart Bar of the Month”. Would really like to feature an Issan area dart bar in the future!

I had a dart board up for three years, and advertised darts night every Thursday. In the whole three years, not one person turned up. It was used once or twice in that time ( and I mean once or twice) by customers waiting for the internet. It was almost the same story with the free pool table, no-one could be bothered to climb the stairs to have a game. I took both out a year ago.

I will be the first to admit that the popularity of darts is not what it once was in Thailand. Sadly I have received many replies such as yours where an establishment has removed their dart board due to a lack of interest. But this is the reason we work extra hard at promoting darts. I’m not claiming that we could have been successful enough at promoting your regular darts event so that you would have kept your darts board. But we would have tried.

We are made up of darts enthusiasts throughout Thailand. After only five months we now have a list of 76 dart bars throughout Thailand and are growing. We’re not so idealistic as to believe that we can totally change the popularity trend of darts. But we have had limited success by providing information to interested dart players in Thailand as well as those traveling here.

Again our aim is to promote darts and by providing information about dart bars and darts events. We look forward to adding Issan area dart bars to our list and becoming part of our Thailand darts community.

I have played for the Rising Sun, Billy Da Bar & Sports Corner, when in Pattaya. I won the Pattaya doubles two years on the trot with different partners. First time in the Beer Put, second time in Palmers, so I know what a good darts evening is in Thailand. I used to love darts. I played all over Germany with the Bremen team, and have a great number ( or did have) of trophies. Unfortunately my darts throwing was cut short, when I dislocated both shoulders in an accident. ( shitfaced & fell off the bed)

The reason for my post is to hopefully find a darts enthusiast in your area to provide us with darts information from Issan. By what you’ve wrote about your darts experience you are certainly qualified. From what you mentioned about playing in Pattaya, I am sure we know some of the same people.

One of the projects we are currently working on is a challenge match - Vietnam vs. Thailand. We are actively recruiting the best players in country interested in this match. We want to get the word out to every corner of Thailand. The most effective vehicle for me to reach potential players throughout Thailand for this reason and general darts information is this forum. We sincerely appreciate Thaivisa’s tolerance in allowing us this opportunity.

Bottom line – our goal is to add as many active dart bars on our list as we can find. We provide as much information about their location as possible - those with websites we hyperlink. Darts players read our site. Some dart players find these dart bars as a result of our list. They go there, play darts and spend money. It’s a win / win situation.
