The Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has been working with relevant agencies to get the Tham Luang Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park designated as a national and historical park and, eventually, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Real estate sector to propose alternative to foreigners buying land in Thailand

Thai real estate business operators will propose that the government allow foreigners to buy houses on up to 0.16 hectares (one rai) of land, as an alternative to the right to buy the land on which it sits, for residential purposes, as defined in the Interior Ministry’s edict, which has met with resistance from nationalist groups.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ying Naphawan Panya, Deputy spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police issued a warning to animal owners but particularly to the owners of dogs of the pitbull breed.


Thai law imposes duties on the owners of dogs to keep them under restraint at all times. There is growing concern about the spike in incidents linked to pit bull dogs in Thailand with a long list of deaths and horrific injuries linked to the breed or crossbreeds of this type of dog.
