Marijuana farmer whipped me for putting acid on his weed - employee goes to the press

An employee of an organic ganja farmer in the north east of Thailand appealed to Sanook after he was beaten by his boss for damaging his crops.

 

Bunsong or Tor, 31, showed the press his wounds inflicted by a beating and being whipped with electrical cord. 

 

Though he has made a police report with the Lahansai police in Buriram he feared no justice because the owner is a person of influence. 

 

He said that on Wednesday last week three burly men had abducted him from his house and taken him to the plantation owned by Nanthin "Sak" Phanya, 46. 

 

His boss claimed that he had put acid on the plants - something he admitted fearing an even worse beating. It wasn't true.

 

Reporters went to find Sak who is in the same village in Khok Wan.

 

Sak said that he had studied organic weed farming for a long time and had invested money in 2,000 plants on two rai of land expecting to make 10 million baht profit after the government lifted restrictions.

 

But he discovered that the plants were not growing as they should so he conducted tests on them and water in a tank and found acidity associated with chemicals used in latex production.

 

He said that Tor had admitted he was responsible and that he got what was coming to him.

 

He said he'll suffer the consequences of the attack according to the law. 

 

He said he only employed Tor because he was a fellow villager but after that he had been late for work and seemingly unconcerned about his salary.
