Listen to the news:

Football -  In the English Carabao Cup matches played last night Bournemouth hammered fellow EPL side Everton 4-1. Also through to round four are Lincoln City, Burnley, Leicester City, MK Dons, Charlton Athletic and Gillingham who knocked out EPL side Brentford in a penalty shoot-out.

An injury for Sadio Mane overshadowed Bayern Munich thrashing Werder Bremen 6-1 to move four points clear at the top of the German Bundesliga. It comes just 13 days before Mane's Senegal play their first game at the 2022 World Cup, against the Netherlands in Qatar. Barcelona are five points clear at the top of La Liga in Spain after winning 2-1 at Osasuna.

Former Fifa president Sepp Blatter says the decision to award the 2022 World Cup to Qatar was a "mistake".

Blatter, 86, was president of world football's governing body when Qatar was awarded the tournament in 2010. "It is too small of a country. Football and the World Cup are too big for it," he told a Swiss newspaper.
