2baht
Cement will blow away in the wind, use concrete! Cement, sand, aggregate and water!
patman30
soil/cement is what they use for rammed earth 10-20% cement mixed with dry soil then slightly wet you will likely need a few layers, which will add up to more than 15cm, will you also use rebar? concerns you may have is rain/moisture and weight of cars easiest option is use stones/chippings/gravel you will be finished 10 mins after they are delivered. sometimewoodworker
Just now, patman30 said: easiest option is use stones/chippings/gravel you will be finished 10 mins after they are delivered. Not 10 mins, it’s going to take at least 30 to spread it out. Put a layer of blue sheet to avoid the stone sinking into the soil and it’s the easiest, fastest way. We did this. Thanks, I was thinking about rebar, thick and on the floor.. I thought about the stones/chippings/gravel as well, but have no idea on pricing vs rebar concrete vs soil/cement Any idea?? Stone is probably going to be less than 1/5 of the price, possibly a little more expensive if you want to add edging to it, we haven’t bothered SWMBO hasn’t said she wants anything more and the garden is her territory. 5 years ago 2 years ago Edited November 10, 2022 by sometimewoodworker 1

The soil quality is poor so the rings retain the good soil and nutrients

Is there anything against this option? I think for me it is mainly an issue on how it looks.... it might be impractible???
