PM Leaves for Cambodia to Attend ASEAN summits

BANGKOK, Nov 10 (TNA) – Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha and spouse, on Thursday leave for Cambodia to attend 40th and 41st ASEAN summits and related summits.


Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, together with Minister of Finance Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Deputy Minister of Commerce Sinit Lertkrai, and Secretary General of the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) Danucha Pichayanan, left for Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia to attend the 40th and 41st ASEAN summits and related summits during November 10-13, 2022.

 

The 40th and 41st ASEAN summits and related summits will be hosted by Cambodia, chair of ASEAN in 2022, under the theme: “ASEAN ACT: Addressing Challenges Together”.

have a break and check-out the job opportunities while you're there.

Maybe buy some nice beach-side properties, that's if Cambodia is willing to sell to foreigners from outside the Kingdom.

BBC had rather detailed article with headline  " The US want to play in China's Backyard " on Nov 9, 2022 News  as Joe Biden is to join ASEAN Summit 2022 in Cambodia now.   

 

It described the various factors on how ASEAN 10 viewed   USA Vs China and how ASEAN positioned themselves.   Overall,  it pointed out that ASEAN disliked certain USA behavior in this region and also NOT pleased with what China is doing on so and so as well. 

 

Nevertheless,   conclusion at the end is   

"The question for Mr Biden: is it too late for the US to reshape alliances in China's backyard? "  ( Quoting from the article)
