Thailand's energy ministry is proposing to close shops and nightlife early to save power costs, another proposal from the private sector to add a 300 baht hotel room tax, per night, the NBTC have approved funds to broadcast the World Cup, but not quite enough. Another raid on a 'Chinese' casino in Pattaya. And what's happened to Bitcoin?!

To save energy, why not just offer a national tax credit promotion for those that rent hotel rooms by the hour instead, say 9PM to midnight?

It gets people out of the bar early, the lights are dim, and they don't stay that long.
