US president points to problems in Vladimir Putin’s war machine but Ukraine president warns there is ‘always resistance from the enemy’

Russia’s troop withdrawal from Kherson showed its military faces “real problems”, the US president, Joe Biden, has said, as his Ukrainian counterpart urged caution and warned his forces that a fight still lay ahead.

In a televised announcement on Wednesday, the Russian defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, ordered his troops to withdraw from the west bank of the Dnipro River in the face of Ukrainian attacks. Gen Sergei Surovikin, who is in overall command of Russia’s war operations, called it a “very difficult decision”, but conceded that “Kherson cannot be fully supplied and function”.

How many deadly traps and hidden mines will the Russians leave ?

They leave Cherson , wait for the Ukrainian soldiers to arrive , then bomb them from far away that they seek shelter in places that have deadly traps installed for them by the Russians . Nobody can trust them .

Note that the forced "withdrawal" still places Russian troops on sovereign Ukraine land. A position that will again come within range of effective Ukraine artillery, aircraft and drone attacks. Not to mention greater danger to the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.

Don't be naive. Putin is withdrawing his troops, and last week he recommended civilians to leave. Then it's time for a tactical nuke.

Are Russian tactical nukes plutonium or hydrogen based? Hydrogen nukes don't disseminate radiation I believe.

You believe wrongly. You may be thinking of a special type of fusion device popularly known as neutron bombs. Actually, they are designed to release more radiation in the form of neutrons and a much smaller explosion. Neutrons decay rapidly so less long lasting radiation is released.
