Judges appear skeptical of Trump special master appointment

Federal appeals judges appeared skeptical Tuesday that former President Trump should have been awarded a third-party special master to review the documents stored in his Florida home as the Justice Department works to nullify the appointment.

Lawyers for the DOJ and Trump appeared before a three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, the latest battleground as the Justice Department seeks to expedite its access to more than 22,000 pages of government documents stored at Mar-a-Lago.

The arguments did not seem to bode well for the Trump team, with one of the judges asking amid the arguments, “What are we doing here?”

I almost feel sorry for all those people celebrating Judge Aileen Cannon's rulings. But maybe they thrive on disappointment?

I remember that Jerry Seinfeld once had a joke about people boasting that their doctor was #1 in their class at Medical School.. But somewhere someone is being seen to by the person who graduated last in the class and no one celebrates that. I think Aileen Cannon is the judicial equivalent to that graduate. Yet there are people who celebrate her judicial chops.

How many millions of dollars does Trump spend on lawyers?  It's unbelievable. It's time for him to LOSE.

He doesn't pay his lawyers.  He's well known for stiffing many.  Many of the politically-based law suits are paid for by the Republican Party.  Sadly, for those lawyers chasing the money, they usually end up unpaid and lose their license to practice law.

Probably best to follow due process rather than lock him up for no reason (or drone strike him, as one esteemed member likes to say). It would only backfire on the democrats - just like their election denialism now is.

These judges should not fear the special master. Everything has to be on the level, no more shenannigans by the DOJ. You stormed an ex Presidents home at night just before a crucial election on the most ridiculous and flimsy excuse - and still months later it looks they jumped the shark yet again. 6 years of persecution and hoaxes against Trump, let's let an adult supervise this time shall we?

What? Due process? Like they did on Jan 6?

Here's an example of GOP "due process".

The GOP nominee for governor in Pennsylvania lost by fourteen points in the midterm elections, but supporters of Doug Mastriano are expanding their election denial efforts despite the lopsided outcome.

or maybe this due process?
