In all the to and fro regarding size of wheels and suitability of motorcycle; an important fact has been overlooked that would definitely trump any benefit of larger wheels. Centre of gravity. Scooters win that 100%. Fuel tank lower, transmission lower. Unsprung weight less (on the front at least).

haha! what happened? i leave for a couple days and we have covered the scooter vs motorcycle in just about all variations... glad you all had fun! for the record, i have been driving motorcycles all of my life and my first scooter accident was downhill on a very curvy (fun) road, now i remind myself that i am on a scooter not a motorcycle... haha!

Guys, You are lucky to live in an area with an abundance of foreign food available to you within striking distance.Those who live upcountry are somewhat limited and rely on getting it delivered. Some responses. This topic is not about extinction risk (of humanity). With a basically alien intelligence out of human control BILLIONS of times smarter than any human, we're all total moron at best. What you and Musk are talking about is about the more utopian possible outcomes in 10 or 20 year. There is of course a wide range of possible outcomes. I'm not talking in 10 or 20 years. i'm talking about older people now for the next 10 years or so. The transition phase to whatever is going to happen is going to very rough going. The assertion here is that it will probably be less rough in countries at the level of Thailand for the predictably very rough transition phase.
