Otherwise you get thrown into this system & your at their mercy This sort of thing won't stop until those at the top start spending time in jail. But since politicians are so buddy-buddy with the pharma and medical industry that won't happen. As far as overcharging Medicare, it happens daily by so many companies to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars a year. I've seen it happen and Medicare gladly pays the bill with no questions asked even tho it's often obvious fraud. Politicians S*U*C*K!!!
BananaStrong
Largest profit in history, 1 zillion. Largest fine, 2 billion. Okay
connda
Out of $100 Billion in revenue? They write the fine off as an expense. Cost of doing business. Sorta the same model as when banks get caught laundering money. No executives go to jail, bank is fined, bank writes of fine and still makes a ton of profit.
KhunLA
Safe & Effective ... ???? trust·wor·thy adjective able to be relied on as honest or truthful. Here's a few drug manufacturers that don't fall in the 'trustworthy' definition. I just picked the ones I'm familiar with. Paraphrased by me, from wiki (linked) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_pharmaceutical_settlements Edited December 20, 2022 by KhunLA
