4000 THB scam

Featured Replies

Report a 4000 THB scam to local police will lead to get the money back or it's just a waste of time? Thank you

You'll need to pay money to the police for them to do anything. Try to forget the 4000B and move on.

You're not alone.

Depends if it is a real scam and you have sufficient proof. what happened.

Would help to know the circumstance.  And perhaps bring the perpetrator to justice.

Always check for 5 o'clock shadow, even after midnight.

It’s not so much about the ever changing amount, somewhere between 3000 and 5000 according to the OP, but to put a stop to the possible scam in the first place. If no one complains they can do it again and again.
File a report.

a thai would go to the police if they were scammed out of 4,000 baht.

She only stayed short time after promising long time or ?

Was it the phone scam where they tell they are police or something?

Common in Thailand and other countries and some people are stupid enough to transfer their money to an account belonging to a voice in their phone.

Please report in the hope that the scammers will go to jail.

Real or perceived ?

Why not tell the whole story so people have somethibg to base their replies on. ????

(Getting popcorn ????????)

I had 4000 baht stolen from my shorts on a baht bus. Wrote it off to experience. Not worth the time and effort going to the Police for that sort of amount.

Tip for not getting your wallet stolen.

Put the wallet in the front pocket of your shorts then twist the pocket through 180 deg.

Result is no one can slip their hand in to get it.

Buyers' remorse?

Completely impossible to answer since you're not giving any details whatsoever.

"If I go to a mechanic, can they fix my car?"

@Mino  Start a topic with no clues to whatever you are posting about, with no followup.   Stupid or a troll...
