Yes, why are there so few prominent female guitarists, lead or rhythm, in rock? 

Singers, bass guitarists, keyboard players, yes, but lead guitarists? 

There are some now recognised black r'n'b / blues female  guitarists from the 50s and early 60s but I can't think of any outstanding female rock lead guitarists from later on

Because the youth of today have a different mindset.

Music to them is not as important as it was to us.

We expressed ourselves through the music we listened to.

They have youtube and tik tok to aspire to.

If America bans Tik Tok as it is threatened to do, a lot of American

Teenagers will be absolutely mortified.

This video is from half a century ago. Hard to believe but it is a fact.

Check out Dea Matrona girl band on youtube to see talented Irish girls playing rock guitar.

Pity they will never be big. Their peers are just not into rock.
