Popular Post Captain Monday 5543
An excellent rational plan. The most important thing to do about covid at this point at the National level is to stop talking about it. It is an endemic respiratory disease world-wide. Like colds and seasonal influenza. So yes it could be deadly. Take your jabs. Follow medical advice and basic precautions. If you are at high risk, maybe you should stay home or in a care facility. The virus is never going away. Time to move on Edited January 5 by Captain Monday 2 1 5

Border restrictions don't work. A couple of hundred thousand out of the five million expected? Easily could happen. In fact, Chinese hospitals are so overcrowded with no availability that I can see some Chinese coming to Thailand in order to get treatment. Yes, people with just a cough and fever can overwhelm any country's medical system, if they come here to take advantage of the "insurance." 4

John Drake 10253
Bangkok Post reports that Thailand will once again require proof of two covid shots for all visitors. Also health insurance is required of all visitors whose next destination requires a negative antigen test. And what of us who have had two or three shots in Thailand and the app that used to display the record of our shots no longer works??? 1

Anutin: "We mustn't discriminate against the Chinese." Minister of Sport: "But Everybody Else is doing so." Minister of Food: "We mustn't discriminate against Everybody Else." Anutin: "Let's discriminate against everybody!" Minister of Submarines: "Hold on there, professor. Everyone's had two vaccines in China, right?" Anutin: "Er ..." All Together: "Brilliant! Two vaccines or no entry. Fairness for all." Minister of Tourism: "Didn't we try that before and wreck our tourist ... " All Together: "Shut UP!!!" Can it really be that after 3 years, the madness is still getting worse? 3

So that means all the foreigners from the west who are unvaccinated will now not be allowed entry to the Kingdom? I can see this playing out very badly for tourism. The unvaccinated that wanted to come for a holiday will just cancel rather than be vaccinated because they hold strong anti-vaccine views Tell ne this is not the case?

Things change here literally overnight. Proof of shots would be a catastrophe. Cannot imagine they'll really do it. 1

Could be many vaccinated as well, for the sake of principle. I would choose a destination without that requirement.
