Does anyone have an idea where I can submit a screenplay I wrote? Its entirely about Thai characters and lives. I am an expat but have lived here for a number of years so the screenplay is influenced partly by some of my experiences and people I've met.

I know its a bit of a long stretch but thought I would ask. Companies like Netflix Thailand don't accept unsolicited works unless through someone they already have a relationship with such as an agent; so I would also welcome being put in touch with one such individual.

Does it fit the formula? Rich family, big house, nice cars, poor Isaan maid who the rich son falls in love with, screeching spoiled rich daughter and I hope you did'nt forget to throw in a ladyboy, that's what works, that's what they watch year after year.

If you really have an original  script change it to be about rich people in Brentwood then shop it to Hollywood. Much bigger upside potential just be sure they don't turn you down then plagiarize the whole idea.

@2baht Interestingly enough, apart from the ladyboy, everything else you mentioned is within it.

@Captain Monday The big hurdle whether it is the Thai market or Hollywood as you mentioned is being able to get through the front door to start with; just getting someone to even read the synopsis. I am in the process of trying to get in touch for a different project.

Is it written in Thai or English ?

Wish you luck. One day Tarentino was a doofus in a video shop. I had some good ideas I thought and some friends were writing screenplays in University nobody could break thru to the agents

So many movies today are sequels and remakes of foreign films, fully credited but 99 percent of viewers don't even know.

Might be better is you submitted it in Thai. Whoever you submit it to might not have the necessary language skills to judge if it has any merit.
