It's illegal... but TiT

My Wife got pinged twice for playing cards in the apartment before we got married. Maybe She and her friends were too noisy, but it was a couple on annoying trips to XXXXX Police station and a few bottles of 100 Pipers and some donation to the benelovent fund. Each time I say to her "Som Num Na" she has stopped. :o

Anyone played poker in any of the casinos in Cambodia? Would like to know if it's possible to play texas hold 'em in any of them. I guess it would be too much to expect them to have tournaments, but think cash games might be a possibility.

Does anyone know of anywhere in Asia that holds poker tournaments? Macau?

Would like to still be able to catch a few live games when I move to LoS in November, unfortunately Australia is the closest place that I'm aware of which holds tournaments.

the casino on the boat in phnom penn doesnt do it, as for the ones @ the boarder, ###### nos. I think thais are more inclined to playing games where the odds are stacked against them for some reason, and the casinos are'nt going to encourage people to sit there for hours when they will only pocket a few dollors per hour for table time/rake, if they can limit it to roulette, blackjack etc where they can rinse em in minutes. :o

Yeah, I fear that is the case. The same is true in Europe and the US, it's only with the recent popularity of poker in the US that casinos have started to reintroduce poker rooms. I'm surprised that poker isn't more popular in Asia seeing as a lot of the worlds top players are of Asian descent.

I've only checked out the casinos in Poipet a little. I notice they do have blackjack and video poker. I haven't looked into it, but perhaps they have beatable games. It's certainly possible to beat these two games in Vegas.

The shady location, lack of regulation, easily cheating dealers, etc. would seem to preclude beating these games. On the other hand, I bet they haven't seen many "Beat The Dealer" types using math to beat them either.

not advisable to win in the ones in Phnom Penn, I got told rather politely when leaving with a gun pointed in my direction too be carefull and not to hurry back :o

yer, no shit.. Got a good run on the blackjack table, couldnt miss. Ended up cashing out 5 times the amount of chips i'd brought, it was well into 4 figures. Then whilst walking down the gangway from the ship to solidground where the security is etc one of the security that looked like 1/2 cast african stepped in front of me with his hand on an M4 and said to be VERY carefull and not to hurry back :o

Had a cambodian escort with me and I never seen anyone get into a car and start it so quick :D
