A woman allegedly shot and killed her terminally ill husband in his Florida hospital room on Saturday in what police said was a "tragic and unfortunate circumstance" that the couple planned together.

Officers from the Daytona Beach Police Department responded around 11:35 a.m. local time to a shooting at AdventHealth Daytona Beach, Chief Jakari Young said.

The 77-year-old patient was believed to have been shot in the head, Young said.

Tragic - it must depend on the timing....When it became my Mom's time I consulted with her Dr....He then increased the morphine and she slipped away in a quiet, peaceful slumber....

This was in the US....

I asked a few months back about a fit to fly certificate for my (now 95 years young) neighbour. Sadly, due to his age and failing health, a realisation has set in, for him and his family, that staying here for his final days may be his better option.
