Pattaya, Thailand- An unidentified foreign tourist suddenly collapsed and died in front of a strip of beer bars in the Walking Street area this morning.

The incident took place around 1:30 AM today, January 22nd, near a strip of Beer Bars located near the middle of Walking Street. The shocking incident occurred in front of over a dozen witnesses drinking at nearby bars.

The tourist, believed to be of Middle-Eastern or Indian descent and around 55-years-old, collapsed suddenly without any warning or noise, hitting his head hard on the pavement. He was traveling alone and had no identification documents on him.

Probably he was walking all night to find prostitutes. But like the police he couldn't find any. He was totally exhausted and probably shocked. RIP

I know 2 who died in the saddle in phnom penh. Meth use was rampant at the time and these older guys, with the sex and the drugs were putting too much stress on their hearts.

I went to Vegas just to walk around all the casinos but never wagered one bet!!!

The question is, What did you think it looked like?  Did you like how it looked?  Why did you need to see what it looked like?  Why look here instead of a meditation retreat?

Guilty by association.

I lived in Pattaya for 12,000 years because of the number of days of sunshine every year, nothing more!!!!!

sure, buddy....

whatever.....

Died suddenly...

Turns out lots of people smeared Ivermectin behind the ears. As they say, 'No link has yet been found'. Still we know what is going on.

Muslims who don't want it known they are out in Pattaya at 1:30am?

Well - that sorts out his epitaph.

We can only be thankful it wasn't a few hours later, I guess.

Lots of people, especially tourists being sensible and NOT carrying their passports?

His gold chain, watch and wallet also didn't survive the ordeal.

I come from a country where ID carrying is not required, so I never carry Id and I will not take my passport out at night.

With the greatest respect, passport I understand but do you not carry a wallet that may contain in addition to your money:-

Your name/address (in case lost or stolen)

A bank card

Covid-19 vaccination record (here in Cambodia we get a plastic card with URN-QR code)

Club membership card

MAKRO or other supermarket card and so on....?

I always have my wallet with me when I go out.

'Course, the deceased wasn't walking around in your country. Nobody said anything about carrying passports.

Exactly. That's far from the ideal we promote.

There is actually a law that foreigners here need to be in possession of their passport at all times.  I carry a photocopy of it. Many retirees here get a mini laminated version.

This is Thailand, not your country, which has no jurisdiction here.  You can express your native country's freedoms but it won't help you if BIB or immigration pull you up.

Plus let's say you fall seriously ill, or badly injured and carted off to hospital, always wise to carry insurance details so no delay in getting emergency surgery/treatment as many hospitals here will let you die on the gurney if you can't pay.
