Daily News Thai Caption: Hit by a stone

Daily News reported that the Phetkasem-Bangkok rescue foundation reported to Khok Khram police that motorcyclists had thrown stones at a Toyota ambulance smashing the windshield.

It happened in the area of the Hua Mum market on Prasert Manutham Road heading in the direction of the Kaset underpass in Bangkok.

A rescue worker called Noppaporn said that it happened at 4 am when he was on his way home.

He saw two men on a motorcycle. Both had full face helmets.

They pulled up alongside and threw a stone or stones.

He needed to have the windshield replaced. He reported the matter to police later yesterday afternoon.

Pol Capt Thai Sawangjit said he would be checking CCTV in the area and interviewing witnesses to get help in the case.

So, in your world it´s ok to throw stones at an ambulance if they have lights and sirens on at 4 am.

Hyperbolic exaggeration much ???

Where has anyone said its ok to throw stones an at ambulance ???....  All we have here is someone suggesting the Ambulance should turn off their siren at 4am when going home....

You then chose to falsify an exaggeration so you have an excuse to virtue signal with faux outrage !!!...

Throwing anything at any vehicle is clearly wrong !!...

What caused the men to do this ?....

... Ambulance had noisy siren on at 4am unnecessarily ?

... Attack on a ‘competitor’ ?

... Ambulance had been driving dangerously and motorcyclist responded ?

... The motorcyclists were just thugs and attacked randomly ?

I can't think of any gang, rebel, terrorist or organized crime group that would attack an ambulance (unless they know the guy inside it).  This is disgusting.

Gangs yes...  other rescue foundations - who are territorial and behave like gangs.

Known as 'the body snatchers’ after hearing of an accident on the radio-airwaves these ‘foundations’ would race to the scenes of an accident, the first to arrive would claim the spoils, take the injuries parties to hospital and receive their ‘delivery fee’.... (thats how it used to work).

There used to be fights at the scene with staff (gangs) from different companies (foundations) arriving at the scene at the same time, or arriving at the scene of an accident on another ‘gangs’ turf....

There is a lot of competition and a lot of resentment...  its been going on for decades.

You really do have to complicate simple things, Richard, What you posted, sounded exactly as it was the ambulance, and the driver of it, fault that the men throw stones at it. ust because they had not turned off light and had sounding signals.

However, I am glad that you took your time to realize how wrong that was.

No, its very simple... He [VocalNeal] made no implication whatsoever that it was OK in his world or any other to throw stones at an ambulance - thats your exaggeration and switching of context.

No... he didn’t... It seems a poor handle on English means you read more between the lines than is actually stated.  There is no implication by the poster that any stone thrown is ok.

Yes, he did! That, buy suggest a possible reason that it was wrong of the ambulance to have lights and sirens on, while driving home. That has no meaning att all, as the people throwing has no chance of knowing if there is a patient inside that needs quick help or not.

You have clearly misinterpreted VocalNeals comment.

He did not write that he thinks its ok to throw stones at ambulances...... that is your exaggerated interpretation of what he wrote.

You have failed to fully comprehend the comment and instead jumped to conclusions perhaps and chose to virtue signal... Instead you made a mistake in understanding a language which is not your first. No shame in that, but the saving face part is embarrassing for you.

I agree with that.....    A possible reason that someone else may throw a stone at an ambulance at 4am is that they believe they have the siren on for no reason other than to travel home.

The article itself states the ambulance had no patient and was travelling home although the ‘stone throwers’ would not (may not) have known that, as you pointed out.

BUT...   the suggestion that this could be a reason the motorcyclists threw stones at the ambulance does not imply a degree of approval, acceptance, or in ‘anyone's world that its ok’....    This is where you made the mistake... You responded with ‘faux outrage’ to a post you took out of context, exaggerated and misunderstood.

You claimed that he [vocalneal] thinks or claims its ok in his world to throw stones at ambulances...

That is not what he wrote - You were wrong. You don’t know you were wrong. You are refusing to accept you were mistaken / wrong.

Ergo... Your English is either far worse than it initially appears, or, you are refusing to accept error with the comical attempt to safe face and instead landing flat on it !!!

Not all all... I just call out unfounded silly comments...  especially when that person gaslights in the most ridiculous manner in an attempt to virtue signal their faux outrage....

You were called out on your silly response by both LL and I, you are now comically ‘doubling down’....

Everyone agrees its wrong to throw rocks at an ambulance, no one has stated otherwise regardless of how your questionable English standards may have misinterpreted someone else’s comments.

Turn the lights and siren OFF when you are going home????

You were there?

Were you ?? did the ambulance driver have the lights and siren on ???

As wrong as it is, could that have been the trigger for the motorcyclists to act in the way they did ?

Or... other possible reasons (as posted higher up).

I agree with you 100%....

Now... was this an occurrence whereby the guy drove his ambulance home with lights and sirens on every night and a couple of locals just had enough ????

I’ve no idea of course, but when trying to work out what would trigger a couple of guys to throw stones at the ambulance that is one of a number of possible reasons.

You are truly repeating yourself, Richard. Last time it was bias about 10-12 times. This time it´s faux outrage.

However, I will stand by my opinion that it sounds like I have posted. Now, feel free to repeat yourself again. I am done with this.
