Non immigrant O extension query

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I am interested if anyone can help.

Based near Chiangmai.

I am on extension non O to wife. I missed the 60 day window for 400k in bank.

I have had a 60 day extension in 2020 to start my extension to season the funds.

Is it possible to do the same again?

Or will i have to start visa process again at savannahkhet?

I have 2 children with my wife.

Thanks

AFAIK, you only get ONE 60 day extension (to visit your wife (or what it is called)) per Entry, so you have used that one already.

So you are on a Yearly extension granted to you by your Local Immigration?

Correct?

Now you are up for renewal of the extension but you don't have the 400k in the account long enough?

Correct?

If both above are correct, then AFAIK yes you need to go to Savannakhet and just get a Single Entry thus when coming back you have time to season the money enough and within the last 30 days of your permission to stay go back to Immigration and start over with the extension.

Only one 60 day extension to visit wife per entry.

You can obtain non O from Savannakhet or you could do border bounce reenter visa exempt and obtain non O marriage in Thailand

If I was to do a border bounce at Mae sai, (as i need to make up 6 days for 400k to be seasoned), are you saying I can extend that exempt tourist visa  of 15 days upto 12 months for marriage?

Has anyone done this practically?

Thanks
