A Thai court has banned former deputy education minister Kanok-wan Vila-wan from elected office for life, this also includes a 10-year ban on political activities, 

The court acted on advice from the anti corruption commission  which accused her of Serious Ethical misconduct.

She and several family members were also accused of forest encroachment in Kao Yai National Park.

A comprehensive peace plan has been agreed in Kuala lumpur between the thai government and BRN a separatist Malay speaking militant organization that would like to see an independent state of  "Patani" in Thailand's far south.

Few details were available on what had been agreed, but further technical talks are due next month and again in the summer.

 

Police uncovered more than Two million methamphetamine pills in fertilizer sacks on a pickup truck after a head-on collision killed the driver and both  passengers, the accident happened in the north eastern town of Mukda-han, The 23 year old female driver of the oncoming vehicle was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

Prachuap Khiri Khan’s  Sam Roi Yot National Park has won the ‘Green National Park Shield’ for outstanding environmental management.

At least two people were killed and more than 50 are missing, after a collapse at a coal mine in northern China's Inner Mongolia. Locals described it as a landslide with rocks and dust swamping vehicles and the mine. More than 300 rescuers were onsite last night.
