The Royal Thai Police plan to destroy 13,559 firearms, which have been seized from criminals whose court cases have been concluded, according to Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat, the national police chief.

 

The guns will be destroyed in a giant crusher, turned into scrap and then smelted. They are a portion of the 20,735 firearms seized by police from criminals.

 

7,176 firearms have already been destroyed, between last October and the end of January this year.

Why destroy them? Do something useful with them like giving them to Ukraine. Ask all those nice Russian tourists to drop them off on their way home. 

It looks like these guys are trying to decide which ones they will take for their own collection before destroying the rest.

Wonder of they will come after my collection of plastic Power Rangers weapons next ?

Or give the Russians to defend themselves against the advance of the EU 

How about send to uk so the people can defend themselves against the Islamic army the government is letting in or the women to stop the rape from the same army

Since the rumour is they are required to supply their own, that is not so bad an idea.... although they cannot be trusted not to sell them on.

Like the public burning of drugs or flour, the ceremony will be a dog and pony show.

How much time out of a given day do senior police spend in photo ops pointing at stuff? If photo ops became illegal for some strange reason, think how efficiency in the RTP would sky-rocket.
