Which one is better? 

Lazada or Shopee or other website?

Why?

What is your experience?

What’s worse? Shopee .. 

I prefer Shopee. I've bought several things from them, and Lazada too, not a big difference between them but I've just found Shopee to be a bit better service, and faster replies.

Shopee better on delivery. Rang me up at 9am on day of delivery confirming which of my two addresses (home or shop) I was at today.  

I always used Lazada, but after they don't refund me what they should refund, I changed to Shopee. Right now, after four years using them, no issues at at all. Finger crossed.

Can you be more specific in them not refunding you what they should?

My Thai wife prefers Shoppee.  I prefer Lazada because it has more ino in English than I have found on Shoppee

Ordered five shirts, same size L: delivered as follow 

Size: S, M, M, S, XL.

I look on both for the item I want and best price, no real problems with either, though I prefer Lazada.........

Depends what you mean by better. They are both much worse than Amazon  (outside of Thailand) , but I would say that Lazarda's suppliers are marginally more trustworthy, but it is marginally.  

Lazada is better, but always pay cash on delivery.

LAZ fan, easier to negotiate the site, with better info & reviews, usually.

 

Shopee is fine also, but don't use much.

I have made loads and loads of orders on both...Many 100s of orders.....

 

Both Lazada and Shopee have strong and weak points.....In no way is one way better or worse than the other....

 

Both should be given a through search before placing a order.........

Lazada app is better than their website and when I am browsing, I use the app to load stuff in my wishlist. Their website is my go-to interface when I want more details on what I have added to my wishlist and/or make the purchase and tracking the order.

 

Another tip is when you are looking for something and the only option appears to be China, don't rush to purchase but either add it to your wishlist or check for it again a few days later. I have frequently found some items that were only from overseas the previous week have become available locally.

 

If I need something and it's only available on Shopee (only twice in three years), I get my wife's niece to order it for me. A common complaint from the Thai shopaholics at my house is that Shoppee has more cheap rubbish than lazada.

Agree. after bad treatment from the above named (they closed the chat line during one of my complaints) I have written to them and demanded they delete all contacts to me. I never use them now.

And beware sizing. they show a pic large size and when whatever comes you find its a model of what you wanted, Clothes  and shoes are a real lottery in terms of size on both sites. Last week I ordered a replacement vacuum hose for pool cleaning, what was delivered was a brush?  Go figure.

As I have posted before with clothes only buy ONE of someting and when your sure it fits THEN buy more.....Most farang need like 3X or 4X.......

The shoe sizes are actually pretty reliable for sizes in my experience.....

Haha, tried that,  Bought one, great , prefect size, ordered another two, totally different size although the same labels as the first. If you get the right size first time, thank your lucky stars and give up.

I have auto translate, and if that doesn't click in, just right click any test, and click 'translate to English', and usually works.

As said both are good and bad in about the same amount.  Used Lazada at first - changed to Shopee due better search and often lower price - changed back to Lazada when Shopee made Ibanking payment impossible (foreign cards do not work with them).  You often find the same sellers on both platforms and prices on Lazada now seem to be in same range as Shopee.

I stopped using Shopee after I saw their offering minoxidil foam (US brand) at prices far below US price. For the product to be legit, the price in Thailand should be the US price plus a percentage due to import.

 

Lazada also had several merchands for the same product but the prices were realistic.

Not necessarily, as many products, USA included, are priced what the local market will allow, or get away with charging.  Some pricing due to competition, some pricing, simply because they can.   Some pricing, if not low, they can't sell it no matter the competition or lack of.

 

And was the USA brand, actually made in, and shipped from the USA, as most products are not.  USA corporations have factories all around the world.  Even reading the labels aren't completely clear all the times.

For me Lazada is also better, but always pay with my UK credit card. Lazada always refunds me immediately to my card if I send something back without waiting for the seller to approve. I find Shopee customer service non existent

same same here ... although found more "fake and/or more misleading" sellers on Shopee, latest one a seller claiming to sell a specific smart phone at a specific price but can only ship if contact and pay him directly over stepping Shopee contacted Shopee about it and they completely ignored my complain

Yea we had some mishaps with lazada like that too, No problem ,Lady digger Rang them Send a pic  and got the Right ones . no refund needed .

On other occasions we had refunds back into our bank account no probs.
