Pattaya — The Irish community in Pattaya is getting ready to host the 10th annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, a celebration of Irish heritage and culture that will take place on March 17th, 2023. The parade will start at the Alcazar theater and will continue along Beach Road before ending at the Pattaya 8 School.

Saint Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious holiday that is celebrated annually on March 17th in honor of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. The holiday commemorates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and celebrates the culture and heritage of the Irish people.

Today, Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated around the world, with parades, festivals, and other events taking place in cities and towns throughout Ireland and in Irish communities around the globe. In Pattaya, the day will be commemorated for the 10th time on March 17th to respect the Irish culture and enhance good rapport between Pattaya City and the Irish community.

According to the event organizers, there will be over 30 parade participants this year as well as a marching band from the Sattahip Navy Base and Pattaya 8 School. Irish ambassador to Thailand Mr. Patrick Bourne will also participate in the parade that will start from 2 PM to 6 PM on March 17th.
