snoop1130
BANGKOK (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed satisfaction with Thailand’s progress in waste management through cooperation with Japan. Government Spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri said the prime minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to promoting bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest and achieving balance, stability and sustainability for the nation. Collaboration with Japan began in 2016 under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of waste management, and was later renewed in April 2022 to expand its scope for another five years. The MoU aims to exchange information and experiences on waste management policy development and implementation, including recycling technology and innovation; ash management; and contaminated area management. A meeting was held on February 22nd to discuss the capacity enhancement of Thailand’s waste management and learn from Japan’s "waste to energy" technology. The renewed memorandum is part of an ongoing effort to support regional industrial development. It also promotes environmentally friendly businesses and energy utilization in line with the government’s green industry policy and the Bio-Circular-Green economic model. fdimike
Just more talk and little action. Typical Thai trash disposal can be viewed along nearly any roadside.
