61-Year-Old Man Drowns in Reservoir in Chonburi

Chonburi — An 61-year-old Thai man tragically drowned in a Chonburi reservoir while harvesting lotus roots.


Sawang Boriboon emergency responders and police officers rushed to the Huai Luek reservoir on Sunday, March 12th, after they were alerted to a suspected drowning man. The reservoir spanning about 10 rais is situated in the Khao Mai Kaeo sub-district of Banglamung District, Chonburi.

 

Upon inspection, the authorities found one pair of sandals and a Yamaha Spark motorbike parked near the edge of the reservoir. The items belonged to the missing man, his wife, who accompanied the officers, Mrs. Srinual Uansomboon, 51, asserted.
