Tubtim Howson, Thai-American who ran over and killed a US college student then fled to Thailand, was arraigned on Friday.  Given $1M cash bail order (no 10% surety) which I assume she cannot pay.  If she is able to pay it, she will be on house arrest with a GPS ankle belt.

Article also states she was not extradited (Knuckleheads who keep insisting this, you know who you are)  She used the fact that she turned herself into the police and came back on her own as justification to have the bail set lower (Prosecution asked for $5 Million bail).

By all means discuss the person who has been charged. Her husband and his work, however, are not why the defendant was charged and are excluded from this discussion.

The OP has been edited accordingly and posts have been removed.

"The reason she left is to be with her family. She left in a panic, she didn't know what to do. She's never been in a situation like this," Dallo said. "She wasn't fleeing to hide or escape. She needed support. She went there. Her husband was there."

Maybe I've been here too long, but this running from the accident to hide with mom (or husband, in this case) doesn't seem out of the ordinary.

More info.  From the linked article in the Detroit Free Press.

""The Thai authorities didn't feel she needed to be in custody. She returned (to the U.S.) on her own. The federal (extradition) case has been dropped," he said. Soon after Howson arrived in Thailand, her husband flew back to the U.S. and told law enforcers that she would turn herself in, her lawyer said."

Soon?  Why did it take over 6 weeks to come back?  Why did the police find her close to the Myanmar border when she had been spending all her time prior to the US official extradition request on February 6th in her house in Chonburi?  Did she get special treatment?  Why?

No, the article does not state that "she was not extradited".  The accompanying video does, however, specifically state that she was.

The "knuckleheads" to whom you insultingly refer used the term "extradition" after it was used by the Thai and other authorities and reported as such, as does the news video in your link also.  It has also been confirmed here that, initially, there was an extradition request.

This is a quote from your link also...

"I greatly appreciate the assistance of the Thailand authorities and our federal partners who worked tirelessly to bring this woman back and to hold her accountable," Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.

That confirmed co-operation of the FBI and the RTP to get her back to the US also suggests extradition, of sorts, i.e. without that co-operation she may still be in Thailand, "unextradited".

So the use of the word "extradition" by posters was not unreasonable and you may want to consider removing the unreasonable "knucklehead" insult from your gloating OP.

Flee from custody as she has a $1,000,000 cash bond (effectively no bond)?

She's not in custody.

She may sacrifice that mil for her freedumb..

All from the link that accompanies the OP...

"She is being held at an undisclosed location in Michigan for security reasons after U.S. Marshals brought her back to Michigan, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said".

"A spokesperson for the FBI said that Howson arrived in San Francisco on Feb. 24 and was then taken into federal custody".

"Your bond in this case will be $1 million cash, surety, no ten percent."

If Howson posts bond [$1m cash], she'll be placed under house arrest and have to wear a GPS monitor.

Have there been any substantiated reports that she's come up with $1,000,000 cash to get out?

The funny thing about this is that there was a good chance she could have beat any serious jail time if she had of just reported it.

Lighting in the area was bad,  boy had been drinking, no sidewalk

Heel I think at one point even the boys dad called it a terrible accident
