Wondering what happens if im married to a Thai and leave the country for over 1 year. What would be the procedure when returning after, say, two years? Is there any amount of time where the marriage isn't recognized at all? Thank you.

For that period of time for your return to Thailand what visa etc option you opt for depends on period of visit etc.

 

Plenty of guys (still working in home country) visit for period of months each year.

 

Plenty of options for married guys eg 60 extension to visit wife etc etc.

To be honest, I would never leave my Thai wife for over 1 year. She could be cheating on you

Guys, please do not speak disrespectfully and derogatorily about women from Thailand! If you think they cheat on you when you're not with them, then I believe you're not behaving much differently
