snoop1130
Thailand’s Supreme Administrative Court has agreed to consider complaints from political parties over the Election Commission’s (EC) remapping of constituency boundaries in Bangkok, Sukhothai and Sakhon Nakhon provinces. Atavit Suwanpakdee, secretary-general of Chart Pattana Kla Party, said today (Friday) that the Supreme Administrative Court has accepted the party’s complaint regarding remapping of constituency boundaries in Bangkok. He said that, according to the election law, an entire district must be in the same constituency, but noted that, in the case of Bangkok’s 33 constituencies, there are only four constituencies where the boundaries remain unchanged, raising suspicions that the EC might have intentionally changed the boundaries of the other constituencies “with hidden agenda”. herfiehandbag
Umh, hasn't campaigning already begun? Mind you, it does give a convenient reserve of 3 dozen or so seats to be questioned during the counting, interpretation and validation process - will the EC have the ultimate decision as to who is allocated the seats?
