They had received complaints that a karaoke lounge in Muang district of Chiang Mai was employing girls under the age of 18. This constitutes charges of human trafficking due to their age. The ATPD and social services went to the establishment and found the claims to be true. Under age girls were being fondled by men who paid 200 baht an hour. The girls got 120 baht and the shop kept 80 baht. Two women called Rattikan, 39, and Sunisa, 44, were arrested and admitted human trafficking charges. I'm sure that a lot more then "fondling" went there, CM being near the Burmese borders leaves an open gates for such trade to take place.
