A well-known internet personality and her boyfriend, were discovered dead in a condominium unit In the Asoke Petchburi area of Bangkok,. Both had  gunshot wounds to the head, a handgun with two expended bullets was found in the room.

 

Authorities suspect the couple were killed at least 24 hours before the incident was reported to the police. The deceased were identified as a 20-year-old woman known as Gie and a 21-year-old air force cadet.

 

A woman found dead sitting in a Toyota car parked at a petrol station in Nakorn Ratchasima on Tuesday evening is believed to have been dead for at least five days. A local foundation  volunteer discovered the body in the car then called police, Medics say there was no indication of violence.

 

Four suspects were arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a wealthy Chinese man, 34 year old Wang Namfen. He was taken in a large box to Hua Hin where he was allegedly tortured and forced to pay around 4 million baht for his release.

 

A new labor law has come into effect allowing remote work arrangements. It permits employees to work from home or any remote location through information technology, as long as the nature of the work is suitable.

 

Remote workers now have the same labor rights as on-site employees.

 

Opposition is growing against a planned cannabis-smoking event in Bangkok's Khao San Road area, coinciding with the global so called "420" celebration of cannabis culture. The president of the Association of Researchers of Thailand urged the organizers of the "Khaosan420" event to reconsider, given the controversy surrounding cannabis legalization in Thailand.

 

The body of a missing fisherman was found  yesterday after a fishing boat capsized during a storm near Samui Island on Sunday.

 
A giant panda named Lin Hui died early yesterday. The 21-year old female panda had been in good health until Tuesday evening and was being cared for at Chiang Mai zoo. A Chinese specialist is expected to arrive to assist with a post mortem.
